Out of the course I looked at that were based in Thailand, ATI's seemed the best. Having a guaranteed job at the end was a major deal breaker for me. The price was good too.

Location: i think the location is poor. While JL Bangkok is a nice hotel & the staff are incredibly friendly. The Ramkham Haeng area is dull. i can see why ATI choose it but you can get cabin fever hanging around  here.
ATI: i think the trainers are brilliant. Sangeeta was excellent , honest & approachable. Certain aspects of the course, as outlined on the website, failed to materialist, however.

I had a great time doing this course. The teaching staff was fantastic, the class size was good and both the level and amount of work was appropriate. You also really need to send us all relevant info before sending contracts and this all to be done before paying our deposits.

The ATI program seemed like a very well organized program. What attracted me to it was the fact that we could do the TEFL course while we were here in Thailand and that we would be place in a school for a semester. The school placement is only for one semester, which is also great to be able to see if into is really where you want to teach. The main reason I chose ATI was the price. I had tried to do an online course but I need to be engaged and to be able to ask question. I also liked the idea that my school would be sorted, accommodation provided and good salary.I chose Chiang Mai as I know the area. I had arrived a day earlier then expected so did not get free airport transfer. I like the hotel was lovely to have air con and hot water. Shame I didn't get on with room met as it would have been nice to share a room with so someone I got on with. I didn't think I would benefit much as I know Thailand quite well but I actually learnt a lot.
